play the movie

"It gets back to narrative. You have to be where you are in your story and enjoy it for what it is."

Life is merely a screenplay of our experiences, and in the end one must decide how the movie plays out. We can replay the same scene over and over. We can rewrite the story line. We can take in new information, rewind and allow a new ending to take place, but with all of these options there has to be room for mistakes and forgiveness. Life is sticky and messy and imperfect but with perseverance and faith it can be beautiful and wonderful if we allow it. Allow the possibilities, but understand that it is impossible to get every clip and every scene right the first time. It often requires a take or two or three, an edit here and there, before we get the perfect closing scene.

But always remember, in the end, it is a beautiful life...
